What is Volumetric Weight?

Volumetric weight will be based on IATA volumetric weight standard:
(length x width x height) / 6,000 (cm) or 366 (inch)

Example:

The weight you measure by weighting scales:
20kg (Actual Weight)

Dimensions for packages:
80cm x 60cm x 40cm

Calculation of volumetric weight:
80cm x 60cm x 40cm / 6,000 = 32kg (Volumetric Weight)

In this case, shipment charges will be based on 32kg which is the greater than the actual weight.
